A Third Letter from Michelle |

Good morning,
A few years ago a couple fell in love and gave birth to a beautiful baby, Michelle Cevallos.
They waited with the illusion of birth and soon that beautiful baby was born with a malformation. A baby that in today’s world occupies 10% of the Ecuadorian population of boys and girls with disabilities or malformations.
How difficult was it for my parents to receive that news, that my father abandoned me. My mother was alone with the joy of being a mother and with the question that some mothers that are presently here ask, why was my baby born like that. Like myself many patients find themselves alone without the support of our mothers and fathers. Lucky are the ones that have their parents together, supporting them. To the public we are different, and if we are, we are very valiant with immense fortitude.
We are lucky to be part of this brigade and to share these unique and unforgettable moments. The work that these doctors perform is marvelous.
Thank you to Dr. Jarrin for having me sign up for the brigade and for continuing to be a super doctor. Thanks to my mother for embarking in such a hard journey.
Michelle
