Here is a collection of letters of gratitude from our most recent mission in April 2010

Close to me,

Thanks to my Grandmother who always supports me.
Thanks to you Dr. Vito and to all the doctors of the group, for operating on me and for giving me a new ear.  Thanks to the patients and their families for being there.
I am overcome by a joy, and at the same time by sadness and pain.  I can only wish much success to the doctors in their careers who move forward with their hard work, and to the patients who showed valor today.  Remembering that we are unique, we are the grand family of the small ears.
Safe trip.
                                   Thank You.

Dearest Doctors.

My name is Norma Almagro,  I am 34 years old and when I was a little girl I had the dream of having my ear.  I grew up and I kept dreaming, but it is what it was, only a dream.  I have known about the brigades for many years, but I never dared to come.

Until one day, I was humiliated by my condition; it was then that I made the decision to go into a new world.  There they gave me information and with much valor I placed myself in their hands.  Today I see life in a different way.  I know that my dream became reality and that God does not forget those with the greatest need.

I give thanks with all of my heart to the doctors of the brigade.  Each of you placed a very important grain of sand to be able to turn dreams into reality for everyone of the little boys, and girls, teenagers and adults, that like myself can not find the way to express my thanks for everything that you have done for us.

Thank you all for coming to our beloved Ecuador and may GOD bless you always.

Attentively,
Norma Almagro

Dear doctors that form the brigade.  Dear Mrs. Haney, doctor Patricia Jarrin, please accept this humble hug from Lilia and Nelson, parents and brothers of Jonathan.  Thank you all for allowing us to smile once again.  I  appreciate first God, and each and every one of you for helping my son move forward and so he could smile at life without complexes.  Thank you for everything.  May God bless all of you in your travels and for being special people.  For us that need of you, and the good work that you do.
Much thanks, and always,
Bon voyage
